Account Manager

The successful candidate will be responsible for administration and support on client accounts as well as pre-production and post-production management. This candidate will work closely with all of our internal teams and report directly to the Client Liaison Manager.

Package: Basic salary plus commission, benchmarked against industry-sector data and taking into account skills, experience, and qualification(s)

Key responsibilities:

  • Building and nurturing close relationships with clients
  • Gaining knowledge of a client’s brand
  • Scheduling resources and managing deadlines to ensure that work is delivered on time
  • Writing creative briefs and client proposals
  • Organising and participating in briefing and brainstorming sessions
  • Checking the quality of all work leaving the company and proofreading all documents
  • Ensuring that the design department specifications are correct
  • Ensuring approval documents are signed prior to production
  • Meeting with departments for client briefings
  • Following production processes
  • Following all sign-off procedures
  • Ensuring all processes are recorded
  • Ensuring the Client Liaison Manager and client are continuously kept informed on the process — managing daily/weekly Work-in-Progress (WIP) meetings to ensure the team is on track and kept up to date with any new developments
  • Facilitating clear direction and communication for the project

Requirements:

  • Matric and relevant degree
  • 2+ years of production management experience
  • Durban based
  • Driver’s licence and own transport
  • Excellent engagement skills with the ability and confidence to liaise with clients, partners, vendors, and other stakeholders
  • Able to work under pressure and to meet deadlines
  • Experience in answering and resolving all technical issues
  • Confident in estimating projects, managing schedules, and time
  • Able to think on your feet and make decisions; someone who finds solutions rather than simply reports problems
  • Proactive and adaptable, able to effectively work under pressure
  • Experience in working as part of a team to deliver high-quality work that is on time and within budget
  • Experience in prioritising and effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Highly adaptable to new procedures, technology and systems, and ensuring that these systems are adhered to
  • Strong attention to detail and a passion to make sure quality control procedures are adhered to
